behind the whitish hills
above the sea in a cave
inside the isolated cliff

beneath the sky white and gray
there the seagulls have their nests
the man stay away, the poet lives
where the road ends

looking out from the stony porch
he dances in the night staring at the moon

in a silver plate he offers his silver soul
in his hand he keeps the heart
no matter where he was born
the poet lives in this cold earth

there´s a place
beyond the wheat fields
where the silence still reigns
the dwelling place of the black sheep
further from the highway
where the poet lives and the road ends

Hay un lugar
tras las colinas blanquecinas
sobre el mar en una cueva
en el interior del aislado acantilado

bajo el cielo blanco y gris
allí las gaviotas tienen sus nidos
el hombre permanece lejos, el poeta vive
donde termina el camino

mirando afuera desde el pedregoso porche
baila en la noche mirando fijamente a la luna
en una bandeja ofrenda su alma de plata
en su mano guarda el corazón
no importa donde nació

más allá de los campos de trigo
